Welcome to Dr. Seuss week! Monday was Cat in the Hat Day! We wore stripes, read the book make wockets in pockets, ate snacks and were sneetches. It was a good day! We were the three little pigs this week. We read lots of different three little pig stories , we wrote how to build a pig's house, what to do if we were the wolf. We investigated the area of some of the pig's houses and of course we built houses of straws, sticks, bricks, and legos. Here are some of our pictures. The Olympics have come. We are enjoying them both on tv and in our classroom. We participated in ice hockey, ski jumping, the luge, curling, snowboarding and ice skating. We also celebrated valentine's day with candy heart math and towers. Here are pictures of our lego towers and our car races that we used during our measurement practice this week. We began our Olympic celebration on Friday. Stay tuned for some of those pictures next week.
This week we celebrated the Super Bowl (sadly the Steelers did not make it this year), National Read Aloud Day and Groundhog Day. It was a lot of fun. We also got to go roller skating in gym everyday. Here are some of our pictures. |
