This week we read I need my monster. As part of our fresh fruit and vegetable grant we had and read about creepy carrots. We hunted both monsters and creepy carrots this week. We finished our study of spiders and made spider webs.

This week we worked with nonfiction and studied spiders. The kids learned that they don't all spin webs. They aren't all black. They do some amazing things. Here are our pictures from this week. This week we read and learned about what to do when we are cranky. We learned from Crankenstein. We were also lucky enough to learn about pumpkins and have ones of our own. We carved a pumpkin to see what the inside and seeds were like. We tried the seeds, some of us liked them, some didn't. We learned about how they grow. Thank you to Mrs. Preston for bringing us our pumpkins. We had a great time!
As part of our A Vistor for Bear story we had a tea party. Suprisingly, the kids really liked the tea. This week we have been practing our basic skills playing bump, and leanring about bears, plants and trees. We even had some acorns left by our visiting squirrel Twitch. We also made leaf rubbings. |
